{ Expecting ... }

While we wait for hubby to get home with the groceries (he's a keeper!!)
The current baby of the house gets some cuddles...
I just love that her eyes lit up to see him pull in the driveway... Awwww! xo

So delicate, so tiny,

so cute!

This Mum to be is a performer, with an AMAZING voice...
but in front of the camera... getting her to laugh was a little harder than expected...
but lots of fun!

Such a special time...

so much anticipation...

So much wonder...

So much beauty.

These guys are so excited...

And will have so much fun when the baby comes...

Your little bundle will be in such good hands.

Good luck guys, can't wait to meet your precious package!

{Big bundle ! }

This 9'6' bundle of beautiful boy kept us on our toes!
Falling asleep in the last half hour of our session, he drifted into a deep sleep!

This little man is the first grandson...After 28 years...

He was as snug as a bug...

He could've stayed here all day!

He really is a little prince, thank you for sharing him with me ! x x

{Expecting...}

When this glowing girl called me last Thursday, asking for a maternity & newborn shoot, I congratulated her and asked her when she was 'due'... her response..."Next week!" Literally, a week from that day!

Sooo, regardless of the drab day, we were shooting today, the rain & wind were irrelevant!

Mum, Dad, big sister to be .... & ....?

With the rain hovering over my back lighting, (and us!!) we take cover in the protection of these trees!!

And take a moment to rest, before the big day... next week! I look forward to the newborn shoot the week after! xx

'BRAND' new!!

I believe that calling yourself a photographer doesn't mean you can just turn up at someones home with a camera! You need to continually perfect your craft, invest in good equipment, and have alternatives to natural light.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE natural light, but if it's not right, you need to know how to 'make' it right... and NOT by whacking on an ON-camera flash!! Limiting yourself to 'natural light', you either end up with dull, drab images that you need to turn to B+W OR images with 'tinny / flashy' direct lighting. Luckily, my Year 9 Creative Arts teacher told us to NEVER do it or we would be banned from the darkroom for a week! Harsh, but good advice!

Before I started workshopping years ago, I loved every image of a newborn baby, but I'm starting to see styles I like and styles I don't! So if all I start to do is realise the style 'I' want to achieve, then its money (& lots of it!!) well spent! I can't expect people to pay me if I never adapt, grow or atleast admit I will never know it all (& then DO something about it!)

I'm still not there yet, nor will I ever be, but I love workshopping, networking with others and learning as much as I can! And making some gorgeous friends along the way ;) So from this point on, hopefully you see a mix of me... here is a little taste of what I mean!! HELLO 2011!! xx

Natural light ***SIGH***

Studio Lighting ***Awhhh...those lashes, that nose, those lips, those tiny fingers!***

Just my opinion... doesn't mean it's right! :)

{Baby T}

After spending a few weeks recuperating from a hectic 2010 and spending my holidays going to some inspirational workshops with fellow photographers from Melbourne & Brisbane, I'm pleased to introduce Baby T!

This little lady was so obliging... not to mention her first time Mum & Dad! (My lighting kinda took up their lounge-room and it was a big room!!) She was so sweet and we got so many shots in just 30 mins of shooting time! All the best with your gorgeous bundle! Was lovely meeting you all. xx
